Interview

When and why did you start playing? Where do your inspirations come from?

Since I was 15 years old I ve started to playing as a dj and after 2 years I started to create my own music with different alias till now. In that period of time my inspirations came from Happy Hardcore and Electronic Breaks dance scene and always in Underground music industry.

What drew you to the music industry? How did you come up with your name?

My love for music, my passion, my energy and my curiosity about how is to make a track that you can hear it on the dance floor along with the crowd. Talantösis comes from the perfect law of the Universe when creates waves with positive and negative energy (Good-Bad etc…).

What release are you most proud of so far? What projects are you currently working on?

My EP names ‘The Kybalion’ is one of my favorite so far which is released from Minimal Force Records. At the same time I m working on another alias names “ion:as”  but most in the Minimal and house industry.

Where have you performed? Tell me about your favorite performance venues.  Any upcoming shows?

I ve been played in many places around the world with my alias like Europe, Asia, USA, South America, Australia. My favorite performances are in Sundays Techno events with Minimal Force Records in London were im playing as Resident. Of course I love to play in Berlin very often in many venues and Athens with Athens Rave Culture.

Yes, there is many upcoming shows that are coming in cities like London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Athens and more…

How do you handle mistakes during a performance? What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

I m trying to avoid mistakes and to be always focus and professional of what I m doing but if that happens I keep the control and I handle it with some skills like effects etc…

I remember once I was playing in a summer venue in Greece and the party was packed and people love it. At this time the Police came to the party to stop the music and said to me to you have to put the volume down. I did it as they said and I was playing in 30 db maybe something like that but it was (very very low). For an hour the people was crasy as they was before dancing till the end with more passion. WOW !

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business? What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free?

Talantösis says: is good and bad. So, yes, Internet working really good for promotion and connecting people around the world but at the same time we lose the physical contact, the unexpected stories. For the music is the same very good to sell your music in sites, platforms but very bad when people download for free your tracks. No, I don’t give my music for free except for promo list that I have.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

At this time I m happy because this generation is more creative and they are coming more artists and venues with the love of music around the world. We are getting more in the hardware technology and back to the physical records. I feel very happy about that!

What advice would you give for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?

To be patient and focus with a low profile and always to create music for the dance floor! This is what people need in our days!
