COMMUNITY / REQUEST ADDITION
MISSING A LABEL?
Know an underground techno label that should be listed? Suggest it for editorial review.
Requests go to the Underground Talent editorial inbox. Additions are reviewed manually, never published automatically. No newsletter signup. Privacy policy.
Submission information can change without notice. Always read the official instructions before sharing unreleased music. We do not accept demos on behalf of these labels.
How to find the right techno label
Start with the music rather than the label’s size. Listen to recent releases, compare rhythm, sound design and arrangement, and shortlist imprints where your track would make sense alongside the existing catalogue. A focused raw or hypnotic record is unlikely to benefit from being sent indiscriminately to melodic, industrial and peak-time labels.
Use the subgenre and country filters to narrow the directory, then select View Label to check an imprint’s artists, recent or notable releases and official links. The profiles are editorial reference points, not claims that Underground Talent represents the labels.
What does Send Demo mean?
Send Demo appears only where we have identified an official submission route and a published policy indicating that submissions are accepted. The button opens the label’s own form, submission portal or verified demo email address. We do not collect or forward your tracks.
Some established labels do not publish an open demo route. Others temporarily suspend signings. Rather than guess a private address, we mark the submission status as unverified or restricted. For example, Soma Records currently says it may listen to private SoundCloud links but is not looking to sign new artists. That distinction matters.
Before you send your unreleased music
- Listen first. Check several recent releases and make sure the music really fits.
- Read the label’s instructions. Some request private SoundCloud links, others require downloadable WAV/AIFF files through a form. A generic attachment can get rejected automatically.
- Keep the pitch short. Include your artist name, a concise introduction, one working private link and only the release information requested.
- Respect exclusivity and response policies. Do not assume that a lack of reply is an invitation to send repeated messages.
- Recheck the source. Demo policies, inboxes and submission windows can change at any time.
How the directory is maintained
Each profile records its source-check date. Demo-policy checks are recorded separately because a working official website does not establish that a label is accepting music. Where we cannot verify submissions, we deliberately omit the Send Demo action. Artist names and releases are selected examples, not guaranteed complete rosters or discographies.
To understand where a track fits stylistically, start with our techno subgenres guide. Producers building their sound can also explore our techno production guide.
Independent editorial tool by Underground Talent. Directory inclusion does not imply endorsement, representation, an active signing agreement or a guarantee of response.
