Underground Talent is an independent platform for underground electronic music and the people who make it. We share production knowledge, discover artists and create tools that help producers explore their ideas.
Our focus is techno and the wider culture around it: the records, sounds, techniques and independent scenes that keep electronic music moving. Whether you’re making your first track or refining a sound you’ve spent years developing, there is always something new to learn.
Why we built UT
Underground Talent grew from making music and seeing how the industry works behind closed doors, especially for new artists.
Talent and dedication don’t always come with access to the right people, practical guidance or opportunities. Those real-life observations shaped UT: a platform where useful knowledge is shared openly, emerging artists receive attention and producers can find resources to develop their craft.
We know how much time goes into learning production. Some ideas come together quickly; others take hours of listening, adjusting and starting again. Good explanations and useful tools can help you move forward while leaving the creative decisions in your hands.
Independent culture matters to us. We’re interested in the artists developing their sound, the labels taking chances and the communities creating space for something different.
Learn, discover and create
Our guides cover music production, sound design, tools and electronic music culture. We explain things clearly, with practical detail you can take into your next session.
Through artist features, interviews and release coverage, we also explore the people behind the music. Their influences, working methods and experiences give context to what reaches the dancefloor and introduce readers to work they might otherwise miss.
High-Quality Tools for Techno. Accessible to Everyone.
Alongside our editorial work, we create sample packs and music software with techno production at their centre.
We believe useful, well-made tools should be within reach of producers at different stages and budgets. That means offering free resources alongside affordable paid products, with clear information about what each one does.
These tools are starting points for your own ideas: sounds to reshape, instruments to explore and techniques to take in a direction of your own.
