Klockworks

What is Klockworks?

Klockworks is the Berlin-based record label run by Ben Klock. Its catalogue is a useful map of focused, dancefloor-oriented techno: records designed to develop a powerful rhythmic idea through small changes rather than constant drops or dramatic arrangement tricks. The label’s own Bandcamp page describes it simply as a Berlin label run by Klock, and the discography provides the clearest source for what the imprint actually releases.

Records worth studying

For newer material, the official Klockworks catalogue lists Klockworks 41 by Shlomi Aber & Kashpitzky, Klockworks 40 by Ribé & Roll Dann, and Klockworks 38 by Alarico. The Decima release by Stef Mendesidis offers another reference point. Ben Klock & Fadi Mohem’s Klockworks 34 shows how collaborations can still fit the imprint’s recognizable rhythmic character.

Explore those records comparatively. Pay attention to kick and bass interaction, the balance of groove and tension, and how a track evolves without losing momentum. Do not assume every Klockworks track must sound identical: the value of an independent label is often how it maintains a recognizable direction while accommodating different producers.

Is Klockworks accepting demos?

We could not verify an official open demo-submission policy. Its Bandcamp artist and discography pages are valuable for listening and research, but they are not evidence of a public demo inbox. Until an official submission route is clearly published, Underground Talent marks this label’s demo status as unverified and does not display a Send Demo button.

Producers seeking labels currently advertising demo channels can explore the Techno Label Finder. Do not mistake an artist’s booking contact for a record-label demo address.
