How did you start? What made you DJ?
I’ve been introduced to electronic music about ten years ago. It was by accident, that a classmate of mine introduced me to minimal sound. It was all the rage at the time. Eventually, after graduation, I went to my first party, an unforgettable experience. The main guest was the legend Richie Hawtin!
Subsequently, I was introduced to the more hard-core sound. I made a lot of new friends in those music circles. I did the first Normative party in 2018. It was with Kozlov and LVTL. I got into doing parties. It was a big thrill, but it would be even bigger if I was behind the decks myself. That wasn’t my goal, it just happened at an unlikely moment. Maybe it’s because I never aimed for it as my life’s dream.

What does a day in your life as a professional electronic music artist look like?
Depends on if I have a performance in the evening. I listen to the prepared tracks the day before. If my day is free. I love nature, it’s where I get great inspiration for my future projects and when I have the chance I take advantage to go to a quiet place in nature.

Why do you like DJing? Can you describe what makes a good DJ?
I love DJing for the opportunity to express myself through music. And consequently to see people’s feedback about my music and performance.
As a good DJ, I always try to surprise the audience with something new. For example, to present in my tracklist every time quite different underground tracks that people haven’t heard. I select carefully my music and I think every DJ should try the same.
People should expect something different from you.
How do you deal with your performance errors? Have you ever had problems managing them?
Everyone has had moments of embarrassment which lead to mistakes, but to me, the important thing for a DJ is to fix them as quickly as possible, this builds you as a DJ. I’m still young in these circles and yes I’ve had my issues but this is how you develop.
Where have you played? Tell me about your favourite places to perform. Upcoming shows?
This year I made debuts in Russia (Moscow) and Belgium (Louvain).
My favourite place was undoubtedly my debut in Moscow. I used to play on Main Stage during rush hour. Everything was quite professional, a perfect experience. But once you realize where you are, it’s already over.
Would I play there again? 100% with the greatest pleasure. As for future gigs, I have something planned for London summer as well as Belgium and Germany. But I don’t want to force things time will tell if they happen or not.

Which release are you most proud of so far and what projects are you currently working on?
I have one EP that I’m really proud of. It turned out pretty well in my opinion.
I also have a track for the VA on False Records that got a lot of support, very surprising to me honestly. I have a track coming out soon which is also in a VA, but this time for Vast Perception. I would say this track is special to me and I hope people like it.

What do you think of the underground electronic music scene in London?
I think it’s one of the biggest in Europe. I love London as a city and its underground scene. I did two shows in London around the pandemic period. I felt the great London vibe, and hopefully, I can feel it again this summer.
Does your music fit into the London sound? How do you take advantage of that? Do you have any obstacles or difficulties in this regard?
It definitely fits, I have a lot of DJ friends and acquaintances in London who share a similar vision of music. I don’t think we have any obstacles in that regard.
