With a constant concern, whether to deliver new tracks, or to evolve his live performance, LuizFribs is an artist who, on his own merit, deserves your attention. With a sound characterised by a strong influence of 80’s Synthpop, 90’s Trance and Modern Techno, some of the producer’s standout tracks were released by labels such as Autektone (Italy), IAMT (Spain), Nin92wo (Brazil) and The Meaning of Rave (Poland) — reaching D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Deborah de Luca, Ramiro Lopez and SPFDJ.

We invited the producer to select five of his favourite tracks to bring us up to date with the sounds of his project. Check it out:
UNNAMED (UNMD) – Emmène Moi Raver Didier (Jan Vercauteren Remix)
It’s been one of my favorite tracks for a long time. I love the raver and hardcore aesthetic that Jan brought to this remix. The entire EP is very good and worthy of your time.

Trym – COLOR003 Vinyl
The release features three versions of the track “Power” which, in my opinion, mixes perfectly heavier elements of Hard Techno with elements of Trance and the vocals and piano that refer to House catch. I’ve played the Original Mix at several gigs, and it’s always worked very well on the floor, creating a somewhat nostalgic and melancholic atmosphere.

Klangkuenstler – Weltschmerz [OW006]
Klangkuenstler has been one of my favourite producers for some time now, and this EP sums up well the sound line I’ve been appreciating most: full, well-rounded drums and synth melodic lines that give a nostalgic quality to that Techno and Trance from the 90s/00s.

B2 – Heavy Machine [NTND004]
This EP, released by the 999999999 label, mixes groove, weight and retro-feeling synths very well. For me, it’s B2’s best work so far!
Sara Landry – About Last Night EP [POSS009]
This EP is so good from start to finish, both the original tracks and the 999999999 remix for the title track. I’ve played all of them on the dance-floors and they’ve always worked very well. I’ve always liked Sara as a producer, and her work is getting better every day.
