My Top 5 Favorite Albums/EPs by Gioh Cecato | Brazilian Hard Techno
Brazilian DJ and producer Gioh Cecato has been making a name for herself in Techno recently. Based in Miami, she graduated from Scratch Academy and even had some tips from ANNA and Wehbba in the development of her career. Her story paid off: Gioh has releases on labels such as Hydraulix, Dolma Red, Autektone, and Descend.
Increasingly connected to Dark, Industrial, Acid, and Hard Techno, the artist performs at the Techno Brooklyn collective in NY and at club Domicile in Miami. Carrying in her resume the support of Regal and Dave The Drummer, she decided to share with us her five favorite albums and EPs that involve strong and acid beats.
Check them out:
100 Years Of Colombia
I met the owner of the label EXOS and his manager at a show in Miami and at the time, I received beforehand in a private file all the tracks that would be released — I fell in love, right away.
There are 100 tracks in a compilation that brings together the Producers of the Techno world scene to call attention and awareness about what is happening in Colombia, with hope for a better future. Besides the EP is very good, there is also a purpose behind all the work – all the income from the compilation was donated to charity organizations.
Clubs Are Closed
Very special album by Bjarki, one of my favorite producers – A mix/innovation between techno-electro and beyond.

POSSESSION
For those who like hard techno like me, POSSESSION / Compilation 5 years is surreal. This EP celebrates the 5-year anniversary of the Paris-based label Possession and brings a lot of energy from the most renowned names in the Rave/hard dance techno scene.
TRIP
The VA is super diverse and inspired by “modern ” trance / psy-trance, with some touches of the hypnotic. Super energetic for any set!
B4 MY ALARM
I couldn’t fail to mention my EP “B4 MY ALARM” on the Hydraulix label, which I had the pleasure to release with Dave the Drummer. The album has 2 original tracks, and two more with remixes by Dave the Drummer and Skirra. It’s a very special album released in 2022 – a very important year in my career. The album has even been included in Beatport’s TOP 100.
